Quotes:
“Non-arisen, non-destroyed,
Unceasing, non-eternal,
Neither identical nor different,
Without coming or going,
Dharmas resulting from cause and conditions,
Escape from all vain prolixity.
The Buddha can define them.
I pay homage to him.” Treatise on the Great Perfection of Wisdom, Vol. 5
如說諸法相偈:
「不生不滅,不斷不常,不一不異,不去不來。
因緣生法,滅諸戲論,佛能說是,我今當禮。」
《大智度論》卷5
Remarks:
A bodhisattva
has realized tathāgatagarbha and hence knows that all the arising and ceasing dharmas
in the three realms are brought forth by tathāgatagarbha. The dharma
characteristics of all dharmas arise and cease, but the tathāgatagarbha entity does
not arise or cease. Therefore, a bodhisattva leaves the two sides of arising and
ceasing and neither arising nor ceasing, abiding in the Middle Way and bringing
forth the notion of Madhyamaka.
