Inconceivable Emancipation Sutra Preached by Vimalakirti, Vol. 1, Chapter 4

Buddhas know that all sentient beings are ultimately tranquil, which means that all beings exhibit the signs of nirvana and will not undergo any further transformation or disintegration.

「諸佛知一切眾生畢竟寂滅 ,即涅槃相,不復更滅。」

《維摩詰所說經》卷1 4菩薩品〉

Remark:

Buddhas know very well that when we undergo the process of dissection to examine all our minds till the end, we will reach the ultimate mind pertaining to all beings; it is, in actuality, the tathagatagarbha (reality suchness). The ultimate mind is tranquil and inherently dissociated from language, words, or knowing, and it exhibits the signs of neither arising nor ceasing which are the signs of nirvana. Thus, there will be no further disintegration; the ultimate mind is inherently nirvana already.
