LuoYun Sutra of Forberance, Vol. 1

"The awakening Dharma of the Buddha goes against the mundane. That which the mundane cherishes is despised by the Way. Clear and turbid waters flow in separate ways. The wise and the ignorant take different paths; enmity is inevitable between the righteous and the corrupt, and the evil always resent the virtuous."
Luo Yun Sutra of Forbearance (C: Lou You Renru Jing, Vol.1)

「佛之明法與俗相背,俗之所珍,道之所賤;清濁異流,明愚異趣;忠侫相讐,邪常嫉正。」羅云忍辱經卷1

Remark:

The liberating Dharma of nirvana is extremely difficult to expound as it runs counter to both mundane wisdom and our desires. It would be rather difficult for people in this world to fathom or even realize. Nirvana is not a subjective interpretation or conjectures of the conscious mind as the Buddha taught in this quote of Luo Yun Sutra of Forbearance.
